What is the best AI for a 2yo child?
I have been researching this question for a while and was not able to find a good answer. We are planning to go to an All Inclusive resort in April when our daughter is just over 2 years old.
I realize that only few resorts have a kids club that accepts 2yo children (like Sandos Caracol and Grand Palladium). But what resort would be more fun for a 2yo? Which good resorts are really popular with families that have small children? I just want to make sure there's enough for our daughter to do, and enough kids to communicate with because she is very active and loves to play with the other kids. |

Looks like it was the Barcelo I was talking about. Sorry. STILL looks like a great toddler pool.
Families Photo Gallery Barceló Maya Palace Deluxe - Riviera Maya hotel Mexico There are some good pool picks in the link. Just let the slide show play. Shammy would know what is best suited for a toddler in and around Playa. Last edited by Uno; 12-27-2011 at 02:23 PM.. |

Barcelo is great for kids because the Tropical/Colonial and Palace sections have fantastic water parks. The Beach/Caribe section has a splash pad but kids staying there can use the Tropical/Colonial water park too (but not one at the Palace). However, they do not take 2 year old's at the kid's club. If that's a requirement, I would suggest the Palladium. Sandos Playacar also takes 2 year olds. I personally wouldn't base my choice on a kid's club though, because kid's that age tend to meet other kids around the pool, at meal times, on the beach as well.

We took our daughter to the Barcelo Tropical when she was 3. She really enjoyed the water park. There were lots of small children for her to play with there, we practically had to drag her away from it. We thought the resort was perfect for our family. Staff was great with the kids. We've been 3 times and would go back for sure. I know there are other very good family resorts, we would like to try an Iberostar, but the Barcelo seems to always be the best value.

Check out any of the Azul Resorts by Karisma. They are REALLY toddler friendly with equipment (crib, stroller, etc), highchairs at all resturants. Fisher Price toys for your room and at all the resturants, as well as really great kids clubs you can enjoy with your little one. I wish I had found them earlier with my son was that age.
