Club De La Cerveza - Oh my!!!

Disclaimer: I do not own or have any financial interest in this new establishment. Hell, I knew very little about it until last night. Having said that…..

Last night after dinner at Pummorola, we (Sue, Jan, Erik, Steve and myself) decided to check out a new bar in town. I saw a post about it a while back and decided it was time to check it out -

Club de la Cerveza on 5th Avenue just south of 38th.

What a hugely pleasant surprise.
Over 70 Mexican craft and international beers.
The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the beers they offer. The atmosphere is great…comfortable with non-obtrusive music.

There are plans to offer an extensive selection of draft beers, but that is in the works.
They offer light food but I never made it to that menu
Open till 2am

So…beers with flavor!! I’m so happy!

These are the beers they are now offering. Prices range from 20 pesos to 79 pesos.

Fabulous reporting, guys- this is right up our ally One question, though- I see the price range, but what did the beers you guys drank cost (each)? I'll take any other specific pricing you can remember, as well. TIA

Thanks Rick,

We'll be there in a couple of weeks.

We should meet up for a beer or two.

It wasn't open when you were here
We went back tonight.
If Sue was in any shape she would post photos and a description of what we had tonight.
Not likely
But it was beyond excellent.
I expect Miguel will be commenting soon. I hope.

Ours were averaging around 40 pesos...
...tonight was different - Sue was drawn to the high alcohol content choices (which meant higher prices)
She's feeling it now!

Rick seems so happy to declare that I'm drunk...and I am. What's awesome is that I'm drunk on only six beers. But they were very, very good beers.

What? Beer has taste?

Looks great! Who cares about filling?

I can't wait to get there in a bit over 3 weeks! I'm staying 4 blocks away. Oh, yeah, Mrs. Hal is coming too.

Well I hope it's still open next time we're in town. I am not a fan of Mexican beer. Some of the craft beers you mention might change my mind, though.

For me, most beers just go down like water in Mexico... this year I had very few. It was nice to come home and have a "real" beer.
