I stayed there for 4 nights last February. (Hey Worthless Nut - met you at the Beer Bucket in Playa several days later!

) The units are very basic, but clean. Concrete constuction, beds were OK, a hamock can be rented for very little money, to "hang out" on your front porch/terrace, they run the electricity for several hours every AM and from 7-11P.

They do have beach loungers now. The little restaurant/bar serves good basic breakfast. The dining room at Ana y Jose's next door is beautiful and very good.
The best part of the place is being able to lie in bed and see the blue waters of the Gulf.

The beach is beautiful, peaceful, and you can walk for miles. Ask the owner where to find the Cenote across the road, too.
I am going back for 4 days in April with my wife, before we go to Playa for 4 days. It's a great counterpoint to the Playa nightlife, there being little or none in the Tulum area. But the moon

at night on the beach in front of
Cabanas Tulum....WOW! I liked it enough to go back! Doc
