Are PDC restaurants helpful if you are anaphylactic to peanuts?

We are going to PDC next month and my daughter has a severe food allergy to peanuts. She carries an epi-pen with her at all times as she is anaphylactic. I don't know if they use peanut oil down there in the restaurants and how accomodating they in regards to food allergies. Does anyone know? thanks

Good question, I am not aware whether or not they will list that on menus, etc. but I doubt it. Maybe ask them when you get there?

My daughter also has a severe peanut allergy and we have been to PDC many times. We just ask the restaurants if they serve anything with peanuts and they fully understand the threat of them to those allergic. The first time we went to PDC someone on this board told me how to ask in Spanish "do you have peanuts in any of your food?" and "my daughter has a peanut allergy". I wrote them down on a card to bring to restaurants and it was very helpful.

Be sure to pack two Epipens! They are not available in Playa. I muled one down for a friend's child last June.

Thanks as this is all new to me and I'd rather ask the ones that know before we get there. That must have been scary for the child what happened?

The little girl lives in Playa. She did not have an incident...she just lost her Epipen. When the parents looked to replace it, they found out they were not available.
