Turtle nesting season runs May thru late summer. We had just been walking in the moonlight along the beach when we came upon the female coming up and out of her nest. There were a couple of folks there trying to measure and tag her and they needed help to hold her while they finished. Ended up taking around 140 eggs out of the nest to a protected nursery. Turtle season is awesome !!

The REAL story.

I love my friend Uno and his creative edits!

Random story...I periodically play games in the classroom at school (e.g. in my international finance course I make students guess things like the 5 countries in the world with highest GDP per capita), and the reward for the student who wins the game...window stickers with our university slogan made by none other than...my friend Uno!

Thank you...and you will see a lot more where that comes from --- lots of daytime beach pics which are also amazing.

I liked La Zebra - great food and fun salsa band. It was about a 20 minute walk up the beach road from Cabanas Tulum. I look forward to going back when I am not tired, so that I may enjoy watching and dancing salsa.
Instead of walking on the road, bring mini flash lights and walk the beach...much more scenic.

Thought I was going to get the next day posted tonight...but failed. I teach a class tomorrow night, so Thursday night will be the next installment.

I like the idea! It was kind of cool to walk the dark road once and see some of the restaurants..but next January...we will take the beach as you suggest!

It is coming...but I lied about it being posted tonight.

Here is a pic of perhaps my favorite view in the world. Free tequila shot for the first person to identify it (of course payment won't be made until I see the winner, it is tough to mail a shot of tequila).
