Someone down there needs to call the medics ASAP ----- he has to have been overtaken by aliens, causing him to post incorrect information. The real Al would never have done that.

Yes he is as well are you, Rick and many others. I for one really appreciate all the information you all provide to this site.

But one cannot be right 100% of the time

Well I was with both of the guys that got sick and they both post occasionally on playa.info. and they both are gringos that live here fulltime with their wives. Wed. night their wives play cards so a small group of guys meet a Lido's for Happy Hour. After Happy Hour we usually go out to eat. We have been to Don Sirloin on AV. 10 at least 3 times. Mom's is another favorite. Last Wednesday I had something to do and did not make Lido's or dinner. They ate there (Grillmeister) last Wednesday night and they both got sick. They told me in person last night about being sick.
Where is the hearsay. Please tell me.

Today I hit Centro Maya, Sam's Club. and MEGA early just to check the trap lines. Then a small group of us headed out. First stop was Xpu ha beach's La Playa Beach Club for beers. Next we headed down to Tankah and took the beach road north until there was no more road so we backtracked back to the highway, headed north and took the road towards the old Oscar and Lalo's but headed south at the fork in the road and took the beach road south (Soliman Bay) to the end which is where we spent the afternoon eating and drinking at CHAMICO. If you can get to Chamico, get there. One of the guys went fly fishing. But this is a most secluded relaxing spot with a beautiful palm tree lined beach area.
What was this thread about? Sorry, I forgot.......Grillmeister.

It is hearsay because you are repeating information you gained from another person, of which you have no direct involvement or experience. You were neither there with them when they ate at said restaurant, nor were you there when they each got ill.

None of the rest of the stuff you added in the above post is relevant, nor does it somehow make your repetition of the tale ("I heard from two guys I know that they ate there and got sick") something other than a clear example of hearsay.

So you are saying that I would have to eat there and get sick to believe them. They are trusted friends and if you want to call hearsay I will call that heresy.
None ever claimed to have gotten sick from all of the other places that we have eaten. And I am glad that I passed on last Wednesday.

You are starting to sound like a lawyer .

I said nothing about whether you should believe them or not.

In fact, they personally experienced it, so when they tell the tale, it isn't hearsay.

It is when you repeat the story with no firsthand knowledge of or direct involvement in the events at issue that it is hearsay.

Am I really starting to sound like a lawyer?
