OK, Pemex, across from Xpuha, Sun, 10:25 AM. 4 diet cokes, 1 water, 3 baby milkyway bars, kid asks for 79 pesos, friend, lived here for 13 years, blonde, looks like a gringa, fluent in Spanish, says what the hell, your wrong...... kid never misses a beat, says oh....39 pesos. Kid got a serious dressing down, friend saved 40 pesos. Rule of thumb, and I hate to think this way, always check your receipts, do some quick addition in your head of the items you are buying, count your change, if there is any question in your mind about the amount, ASK! I have been wrong sometimes and my math brain was being stupid. But it never hurts to double check.
