Oregon Coast Peep Meet Report

So Julie and I were chatting on Facebook on evening months ago about the Umbrella Day peep meet years ago and decided to try to put together another one.

It happened over the past few days.

On Thursday evening MikeW and BonnyW flew to Portland.

Friday morning we drove to the Oregon coast, hitting it in Lincoln City and driving down to just south of Newport. Ginger and her kids left Vancouver, BC early Friday morning. Jeff and Julie drove up from Gold been and Dana (Uno) and Colleen came up from Eugene.

Good food, good friends, Uno's home-brewed IPA and some other beer, all kinds of home made goodies - you will read all about it here and see photos.

We left home about 6am and arrived as the sun was going down, after getting lost a few times around Oregon.

Thursday, I did some work. Put on some shorts, t-shirt and sunscreen and went for a 4 mile walk in the 80 degree weather. Finished packing and we headed to the airport at 3PM. We sat in the restaurant at the airport, Newcastle, Merlot, veggie burger, salad and fries. Then caught our flight to Portland. Roni met us in the airport and we headed to the SUV he had just rented.

Stepped outside. HOLY SH!T3. WTF is that. It's f'ing cold here.

I wasn't dejected. I was cold. I was looking for my bocce balls. Okay, I was dejected, I couldn't find my balls either.
