Secrets Maroma or Valentin Imperial Maya?
The wife any I are in preliminary planning for another trip to the area. Have stayed at two karisma properties recently (El Dorado Royale and Seaside Suites).
We are leaning towards the Secrets Maroma or Valentin Imperial Maya this time. Does anyone have a recommendation based on personal experience? Other suggestions are welcome too. Plan is to stick with an adults only AI. |

I found some answers in this thread not far below mine:
http://www.playa.info/playa-del-carm...rial-maya.html However, if anyone has additional input it is welcome. It is sounding like Secrets Maroma may be the most promising depending on how much extra $ it is over the other options. |

My wife and I just stayed at secrets maroma and we can't speak highly enough about our experience. The service is top notch and the amenities are exceptional. The food was above par but not spectacular (I don't believe you can hold all-inclusives to the same standards as regular restaurants). We loved the fact that there was a no reservations policy regarding the restaurants. The beach was very accessible (as we're the chairs at any time during the day; no wristband policy was also a plus. I can not speak to your other choice but we will definitely revisit secrets maroma. We had a great experience.

They're both great properties, both at the top end of the AI experience in Riviera Maya. If price isn't a concern, then I would choose Secrets Maroma.
VIM is about an 8 on the luxury scale and SM is a 10...and the difference in price reflects it. So they're both fantastic...one is just a touch more fantastic than the other. You'll do great with either one. |
