The strange thing about the anti-PP sentiment among pro-lifers is that if PP actually did shut their doors, the result would be more abortions. By far the largest segment of their clinic is devoted to preventative cancer screens and the dispensing of birth control (not abortions, access to contraceptives and the pill) which prevents an estimated one million unintended pregnancies yearly.

Why are you so obsessed with baby-killing and child rape?

Komen for the Cure is a cancer charity, supposedly dedicated to the prevention and treatment of cancer. Yet they pull funding for an organization responsible for MILLIONS of cancer screenings each year, and a significant number of those screenings are given to individuals who have zero opportunity for getting them elsewhere. Without those screenings, it is certain that cancer will go undetected and that people will die a slow and painful death because of that failure in early detection.

How your twisted mind comes up with baby-killing and child rape in the face of this is beyond me. And for that, I am eternally thankful.

spaz, I used to think you were amusing. Now I see you are just an idiot.

I never "hung child rape" on Paterno, nor am I in favor of killing children. But feel free to scour my posts for any shred of evidence for your delusions.

Because they are kow-towing to right-wing "pro-life" hypocrites.

Gotta say, though, that I find it sadly amusing that you are asking this question now, AFTER you say that you are in support of it. Blind faith, indeed.

You are shameful. You've pulled out your soapbox to support a personal issue in a thread that never was about that in the first place. Why don't you stop polluting this discussion with your personal bias and let the original topic run it's course. Some of us are actually interested in the original discussion. Are you really that incapable of staying on topic? You twist others words to suit your own agenda and try to use it against them.
Shame on you, spaz. You're a discredit to the very cause you try to champion because you can't even debate an issue without getting personal and losing perspective. It's people like you who give these forums a bad reputation.

And one more thing. Before you try to twist my words and make me out to be a baby killer, try to bear in mind that you have absolutely no idea where I stand, so keep it to yourself... for a change. My beef is not with your cause, it's with your words.

I believe that insurance companies should be required to cover contraception regardless of who is paying for the insurance.

I think that position has the support of the overwhelming majority of people.

I have not read the entire thread and I do not intend to.
