We'll probably watch it on demand. 10:00 at night for a series...not happening.

OK, I'm officially old now!

I thought it was a pretty good start. We will see if they can keep it up.

I watched it... I liked it! It was something different than the usual crime drama. Now it may be like Glee, but I don't watch that so couldn't say. However, even though I realize that Broadway musicals are the theme of the show, I could do with more story and less singing. So I will tune in next week and see how it progresses.

The only similarity between Glee and Smash is the singing, otherwise the concepts are completely different.

It will be interesting to see how this show does in the ratings after last night. If people were looking for instant gratification they were not going to get it last night. They needed to build the character and plot lines last night so that might have caused some to lose interest. My guess is the show gets much more entertaining with the next couple of episodes. I just hope they don't go with soap opera plot lines, because they will lose me then.

Get rid of Julia's yelling and bullying husband and I might revisit this show. Nothing like slathering on a bucket load of a guilt trip on a woman when she's faced with raising a family and a having a career. That was enough to send me searching for the remote control.

That little snippet of the show was all it took? It was all of about two minutes of the show.

Ok, but obviously everyone did not see it the same as you, as shown here by Mercy's reaction.

Are you not even open to the possibility that his reaction would be quite common given the scenario? Most spouses would react differently to hearing that the other spouse just might be backing out of an important commitment? I don't think so, but we really were not given enough info to actually know what had happened between them. However, by coming to the conclusion you did and turning the channel you missed just a short time later when he was very supportive of her.

The point you're neglecting to notice is that it is "my time" that I'm spending. I didn't like what I saw and I turned the channel.

Ok, I'll just remember to get permission from you to discuss something with you that you've posted on a discussion board.

Weird. Why in the heck does it matter whether or not I turned the channel? I"m not the only one, no doubt. fwiw, this may be a discussion board, but people are not obligated to meet demands for answers. Personally, I thought my first post was pretty self explanatory.

Ciao! Happy watching, everyone!
