![]() I have been known to buy for both reasons, but after 34 years of wedded bliss, I know what she is likely to wear, to enjoy, and/or to wear mostly for my pleasure. I have bought her some of each from time to time |

If you think she would like VS get her something nice you both can enjoy, and then maybe flowers or something just for her. |

I love a gift certificate to a spa for a pedicure or something like that.
Or a couples massage would be a treat you both could enjoy together ! My hubby wants a special grill plate for his green egg (grill) - but hey that works for me to ! |

I have always wanted a man to buy me perfume, something he liked (and no man ever has, but I never asked, either. I guess I think men should be able to read minds.). I also like flowers, lingerie, and Tappy's hit on the very best present of all to me: Spa days.
Of course, Valentine's Day doesn't mean much to me and I don't like the idea that a man has to be under that pressure, unless he's a man who never does nice things like that at other times. I like the idea of having one day that everyone celebrates love in all its forms, even if I tend to celebrate it every day.

![]() Valentines Day will be beer and chili dogs. Or beer and pepperoni. Or beer and something else. (Colleen will be on a cruise to Cabo with her mom and Grandma.) We will do Valentines when she gets home, all tanned and oily.

I may buy her tickets to see the St. Louis Cardinals at their new ballpark if they are playing during our May trip to St. Louis. Perfection would be if they were playing the Cubbies then
Edit: They are playing the Phillies at St. Louis. I am thinking the Sunday afternoon game, with a night at a downtown hotel thrown in. Kathy likes baseball. Last edited by roni; 02-06-2012 at 09:32 PM.. |

I don't love VD
, but I do love chocolate, wining and dining (preferably home cooked), lingerie, tickets to fun events (sports definitely included) and massages (also preferably home cooked ). I think the idea of giving dead sex organs as a gift is priceless (though I guess they're technically on life support if you keep then in a vase w/water ). In general- I think anything that shows you love and care about us is fantastic I assume the same goes for men

We don't do anything major for Valentine's Day....usually just flowers for me, and we have a little nicer dinner than usual or something.
This year we will be at an AI in the Mayan for ten days, so that is gift enough. ![]() We are there with a big group of our friends for dinner, although maybe we will luck out and get into an a la carte for the 14th- we only arrive the 13th and I am betting they are all full up....the buffet will likely have some sort of theme night, I imagine.
