Big Black Sand Bags

Do the resorts from the Playa Del Carmen ferry pier towards the Sandos still have the big ugly sandbags in the water?

Thanks

No. They removed and re-sanded from Playa down through Playacar.

I think it MIGHT be Playacar Palace. Very 1st resort (next to Senor Frogs) in Playacar.

Agree! The circular part with the palapa roof is Xaman Ha's Bar area.

I remember doing a time share presentation our first trip. (Yes I know.)

Does this place offer times shares? I looks familiar. Anyway, at the time, the water was washing against the sea wall. No beach whatsoever.

Psst....we did a timeshare tour our 1st time also

I've stayed at Xaman Ha twice and have NEVER been approached by timeshare people. I believe all units are individually owned.

Our 1st visit was in 2009, at the height of the Swine Flu and YES, the water was up to the concrete walls. We would pull the lounge chairs up to the wall and be splashed with the overspray from the waves

The Playacar beaches have withstood most of the erosion that's taking place in some sections of the Playa beaches.......they'll be fine, I'm sure! Unless........

Yes, I took it on Jan 28th from the Playacar Palace. It doesn't show the beach in front of the other Playacar hotels further down but...it's pretty so I posted it.
