Yes, I meant the creator of the show. AMC has a lot to learn about original programming since they have constant public fights with the creators of their three big money makers - Mad Men, Breaking Bad and now The Walking Dead. Seems they don't know how to handle success.

It was AWESOME!! Next week's looks gut wrenching!

What was with Carol in the bushes? That was kind of weird.

Also, the sick girl...she must have been scratched. How come they aren't checking for that? She's got the sickness!

Ya I was thinking that maybe Carol wandered into the woods and got bit. It was weird and they never really resolved the weirdness of it.

Next week looks awesome!!

I was thinking that too. They are not very consistent sometimes in portraying interaction with the zombies regarding the chance of infection. A scratch can infect you, but several characters have splattered themselves with zombie blood at close range during a kill.

I don't think Carol was attacked in the woods. I think she just went off and pulled up a bunch of sticks and weeds in grief over Sofia and got all scratched up. Good chance to highlight another moment of Shane's moral ambiguity: now you see how caring and kind he can be, now you see how psyco-killer he can be...

Rick earned major badass points. You know you don't want the new guys at your camp when one of them pisses on the floor and asks if there's any "cooze" available. This is the second time the writers have used that word, btw. Carol's husband tells Andrea he doesn't need some "college-educated cooze" telling him what to do. This is really just a pop-culture, semi-acceptable equivalent for cunt, when you think about it. Moral of the story: say it, get killed shortly after.

I'm seeing an old fashioned western shootout at the saloon for the next episode.

Yah, I was saying that last night to the kids. I think they'd take better precautions about all that zombie blood when killing them OR disposing of the bodies. Then Jorden reminded me that Ataxic Neurodegenerative Satiety Deficiency Syndrome, or Zombie Sickness, is passed via contact with bodily fluids but perhaps not blood. So saliva, which is the reason behind the bites. I don't know where the "scratches" comes into play with that, except maybe if they are scratched and then get spit or mucus (or blood if it's in that too) in it, then catch it. But in that case you'd still think they would take more precautions when handling the bodies. What if they had a cut on their arm?

The actor who plays Shane is going to be on another pilot (with Darabont); I hope this doesn't mean he's getting killed...

I think Shane will be killed off. Rick will do it. Showed last week he is not hesitating. I think it will be the old man, I cannot remember the character name, but it will be him that does it.

Talking

In the comics, Shane was killed off by Rick before they made it to farm. I like the idea of new people coming in - keeps it "fresh"

Actually, it wasn't Rick....but I'm not going to say who it is because that could be a MAJOR spoiler.

We really shouldn't talk about what happens in the comic here, as the show will likely follow some of that story line and it would be a big spoiler for a lot of the story lines.
