I've finally caught up with this series, it's not the gore that's shocked me, it's seeing Andrew Lincoln playing an American! He seems quite convincing, but only a local would know for sure.
Last time I saw him on TV, he was in 'Teachers' based in Bristol, England. Here he is with his real accent... |

Yes, I do like it. The characters are not so 2D and come in shades of grey, rather than being the usual black and white types.
Too long was spent on the farm though, it smacks of not wanting to spend too much on location changes. You'd think it'd be much easier to find guns and ammo in the US! Why didn't he start up the tank in the first episode and squash the herd? What use would two zombies in chains be, and why don't they still try to bite her? Oh the anticipation... It's great to see so many Brits in lead roles (House, Bionic Woman, Terminator series, True Blood...). |
