Some of his music annoys me, mostly I think because his lyrics are pretty simple. But there's no denying he has a wonderful voice.

Nothing wrong with simple lyrics if the music is good and people enjoy it.

What a beautiful night last night was, Adele deserved every award she won and perhaps an extra one for being such a kind and lovely woman.][/quote]

performers with true talent doesn't need gimmicks..and Adele certainly understands that.

It's gotten ridiculous on the price of concert tickets, mostly due to the huge stage shows, dancers, props, etc. Most concerts even need a sponser.

I think most people really want to see a performer or band just get on stage and perform. While I do love dancers, I also find them a huge distraction from the person I paid good money to see.

I really wish that artists would do the smaller places..and play for a few nights to give everybody a chance to see them..at a decent price. I get really turned off by artists with a huge "it has to be a huge venue" ego.
And it is about egos.

This was the first time that I watched more than 50 % of the grammys. I enjoyed it. Loved Bruno Mars, Jennifer Hudson, Glen Campbell, and a few others.
Hated Mc Cartney..He was at his best with the Beatles. Also didn't care for Rhianna, Katy, and that last woman that performed..What was that? Awful!

I did get a good laugh the first time they showed Gaga..then a little queasy the 2nd time. She looked pretty manic to me, but then again, manics are her biggest fans.

For you Decembrist fans, I sent my friend a snippet from the LA Times blog of the event, and she replied today. They are on their way home

You are sweet! *We did have fun, it was thrilling to have been nominated. *I'll tell you more about it.
We're heading to LAX now.
