Today is National Margarita Day!

Gotta love the made up holidays!

I like mine on the rocks no salt with premium tequila.
Best one I have ever had was in baja on the road north from cabo at a crazy little place called "Beer and Art".

I know this is a sin on a Mexican travel board...but, I'm not a big fan of tequila.

However, a buddy of mine made a killer margarita a couple of years ago.

This will probably sound terrible on this forum, but the wife and I are big fans of the Perfect Margarita at Applebee's. I ain't too proud to admit it.

I'm pretty easy when it comes to margs though, and it's pretty hard to mess one up.

On the rocks with salt, extra lime.

Might just have to make one or three tonight to celebrate

I don't even know what to say. It's a good thing we like you or you'd get kicked to the curb for that little tidbit

No problem. Though I like a good Margarita, I'm more of a rum drinker.

There is a Thai restaurant here in town that strangely enough, has my #1 favorite margarita. A jalapeno pepper margarita. They use Sauza tequila and infuse it with fresh jalapenos. (Not too much. Just enough to give it some flavor.) They make and shake the margarita in an iced shaker and pour it into a salt rimmed martini glass (no ice) and drop a single slice of fresh jalapeno in it. Sweet, tangy, salty, spicy. Outstanding.

My VERY close #2 is the Bonnyrita. Made by our own BonnyW.
I don't know the exact recipe but they contain dozens of fresh squeezed limes and lemons, and I believe, some sort of organic hallucinogenic. I can't be certain, but they make you overly happy.

My #3 is any margarita made with La Pinta in it. That's just smoooooth.

That may be what caused me to get lost in the jungle in Tulum one night, at least I was told we got lost!!
