I read an article recently that had no connection to PI or Mexico, other than the fact that the author had eaten burgers in 450 places all over and "Wicky's" in Playa was his favorite.
I don't do burgers in Mexico, there are to many other foods that I can't get in the US. |

To everyone who says, "I dont do burgers in Mexico", I agree....to a point. It also can depend on some other factors like how long you are staying or if you have a very picky eater with you. When we stay for 10 days or longer, sometimes I am feeling like something familiar like a burger or something like that....its ok.

The best burger I have ever had in Playa was at Fusion. But I have heard loads of great things about Wicky's burgers too.
and sorry, but pffftht to anyone who says things like 'no burgers/Starbucks/Subway' in Mexico ..... that makes about as much sense to me as saying I should stick to eating pemmican and bannock and poutine here in Canada. Mexican food is not a big favourite of ours, if we have a few meals that are 'Mexican' when on vacation, I figure I am doing well. Who wants to eat nothing but Mexican for ten days? Not me.

Too bad about Wickys, it WAS great and a pretty good deal for their special.
One place that never changes, is always good; Playa Maya. Their PM burger is yummy and the grilled pineapple on top is da bomb!! Fusions burger is also good but service there is so crappy! |

Let me google that for you Let me google that for you That was my Babaloo imitation...sorry, couldn't resist. ![]() I was sure happy to see a Starbucks last week at CUN....after ten days of horrible watery coffee, that was heaven. The best meals we had last week was surf and turf and escargots at the French a la carte and caprese salad, spaghetti carbonara and tiramisu at the Italian. ![]() Even the pizza at Wah Wah was pretty good. ![]() Variety is the spice of life! No matter what country you are in. JMO of course.

NOT the Texas Burger Company... Boy was I so disappointed in what they called a burger. It was probably one of the worst burgers I have had. After going by it for a long time (since it opened) I decided to give it a chance, since it seemed to have lasted a while in that spot (well, more then others lately), so I figured that, in combination with the 'Texas' name (I grew up in Texas and was hoping for some pretty good meat), I would try it out. I don't know if it was just a one off thing, but it was just aweful. Seemed like a frozed pre-done patty and had terrible flavor. Will not go back.
