Almost done packing the trailer. Daughter will be house sitting. We leave in the morning, not sure where we are going. Either East to the Desert and go trilobite hunting. Or North to the Desert, do some hiking and season opener for trout fishing. Problem with north, it's cold !!!!

I guess I've done too many for too many years. Kinda lost their luster. Unless of course Colleen or the kids or a friend goes along. Those are fun. Colleen sits by a pool while I work then we have a nice dinner in another city. Just another road trip anymore when I'm alone.

I go trout fishing a lot. I think fossil hunting would be VERY cool.

I will relax from a week in Paris before going to another week in Paris. What I still have to recover from is that two persons in Paris (my boss and someone else I have been working with closely this week) asked me today if I'd be back on monday when I told them more than once that I would and when leaving Paris yesterday I said 'see you on monday'... is this a men-thing or is this a french-men-thing?????

Going to see my niece on sunday as she started to walk and judging from the pics she is very proud of herself.

The cane training lady from the Blindness agency is coming over one week from today.

Kathy will get a cane to use, but it may not be one she keeps for a long time.

All checked in. Salt lake city is quite beautiful. Nice view of the snow covered mountains from my room. Took a walk about a half mile to a store. IT'S COLD OUT THERE! 32 degrees with a wind chill I would guess around 20, 25. But I have a 6 pack of some local 3.2 % IPA that has a nice body and flavor. I can drink tonight and still not be hungover in the morning. Let the weekend party begin!

Aww, thanks!

But I didn't get it. Actually, no big deal, I didn't really think I would, I don't have enough budget experience, etc. Big Boss Lady came to my office today for a sit-down and said she genuinely appreciated me applying and she really liked that I had the ambition to do it, so that's good. She also told me that while its not in the cards right now, over the next year we plan on growing exponentially and then there will be VP opportunities, so she wants me to come to her with a proposal for some mentorships/training for the next year to get me up to speed with the smaller details that I need to work on. She said I have the important stuff...passion, dedication and brains! Yay, I gots respected!

I LOVE good bosses that make you feel a warm and special.

Hope everyone is doing well!!!

We had a good workout this morning, some time in the steam room together (this new gym has coed steam, sauna and hot tub). Followed that up with a good lunch and a trip to Home Depot. Kathy is now in the bathroom installing the new hand held shower holder and there is no cussing, so I am it is going all right.

Ginger, the cane training lady will probably bring a couple of different canes, but there are a variety and Kathy may find she prefers one over another.
