Aww, thanks!

But I didn't get it. Actually, no big deal, I didn't really think I would, I don't have enough budget experience, etc. Big Boss Lady came to my office today for a sit-down and said she genuinely appreciated me applying and she really liked that I had the ambition to do it, so that's good. She also told me that while its not in the cards right now, over the next year we plan on growing exponentially and then there will be VP opportunities, so she wants me to come to her with a proposal for some mentorships/training for the next year to get me up to speed with the smaller details that I need to work on. She said I have the important stuff...passion, dedication and brains! Yay, I gots respected!

I LOVE good bosses that make you feel a warm and special.

This is good. You asserted yourself, showed ambition, and stepped up to help with duties during a tough time. You will be on their radar in the future.

John got a surgery date!!!!

He slid into a cancellation for March 26th....only 2 years, 2 months after his injury.

We are jumping for joy....well, John's not jumping, but hopefully within a few months he will be.

There will be a period of rehab after his surgery, being he has been immobile and couch bound for two years, but all he can think about is going back to work.

I will relax from a week in Paris before going to another week in Paris. What I still have to recover from is that two persons in Paris (my boss and someone else I have been working with closely this week) asked me today if I'd be back on monday when I told them more than once that I would and when leaving Paris yesterday I said 'see you on monday'... is this a men-thing or is this a french-men-thing?????

Going to see my niece on sunday as she started to walk and judging from the pics she is very proud of herself.

We will....as for the Monday thing...it happened to me last week too...it might also be a people-not-listening thing too . Post some pics if your niece walking. Tots have the best smiles when they start walking.

IT'S COLD OUT THERE! 32 degrees with a wind chill I would guess around 20, 25. But I have a 6 pack of some local 3.2 % IPA that has a nice body and flavor.
