Lucky you, now you have a spare!!

Not too sure how it works really...but when she goes near the catflap you hear a slight 'click' and it allows her to open it. She once was 'browsing' through the catflap window and inadvertently allowed the neighbours' cat in! Fortunately he was spotted and 'shooed off', and hasn't repeated his little visit.

I suppose it works similar to the 'self-clamping' supermarket trolleys...the wheels lock up when taken past a certain point or up the escalator.
