What ever the result of this biopsy, the doctor (X3?) said to keep using the med "I" , tried, used and has been working, that I bought in Playa, for a minor burn.
I just find it interesting, if I did not use this medication my situation MAY be worse?? Anyone? I do not think I'm breaking our rules of the forum as I am not actually seeking medical people. |

I lost a friend to melanoma several years ago. Amy Reistrup, a talented equestrian who trained and showed jumpers and completed successfully against Olympic riders. She was my trainer for several years although I showed hunt seat. She developed a melanoma on her leg, an unlikely place since english riders wear long pants and tall boots. She passed away less than 2 years later, 43 years old. Melanoma is scary. I wear sunscreen on my face daily and when I'm going to be outside, I also wear it on exposed skin. When in PDC, I wear the highest SPF I can buy and sit in the shade. I dislike the greasy feel but I don't have a choice. |

So sorry about your friend. I am thankful mine is just a basal cell. I had a friend who's husband died from Melanoma. This was almost 20 years ago. He was only in his early 30's with two small children. I think after diagnosis he only lived a year. On the other hand, my step-dad had melanoma on the back of his neck about ten years ago and they were able to get it all and it never recurred. Hopefully, yours never will either. |

I had my procedure yesterday and it was as you all said, a non-event and no big deal at all. I had to go in twice for removal and the third time they stitched it up. The incision goes across the bridge of my nose. There is a little bit of swelling which makes me look somewhat like Avatar but not bad at all. Thanks for eveyone's input. I really appreciated it!

The doctor said it is a long term healing process, because it is scar tissue that was literally pushed open from my "leg swelling" which is uder control now too. So, it's still "use the medicine I found in Mexico because it is working.
