Thank you so much for your fast replies, I really appreciate it! I see there are two emails; maybe I'll try both of them.
I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the Bahia. We will be going for the first time to this resort next month, normally we travel to the Palladium, but we are joining friends at the Tulum. Do you have any advice re room location (we are staying in the Tulum Diamond section), and is there a list of restaurants for the resort that I can view somewhere on line? I like to thoroughly research a place before I get there, it's part of the fun! I wish the Bahia resort had a specific forum just for the hotel like the Palladium, it's so easy to get information that way. Any info, good or bad that can enlighten me would be mucho appreciated! Gracias!! PS - How to you pronounce "Bahia"? Is it Bah-hee-ah or Bah-hi? catperson ![]()

Here is info on the restaurants and bars in the Tulum section.
By "Diamond" section, do you mean the Hacienda Club? If you're Canadian, they sometimes call things something other than what agencies in the USA call them. The Hacienda Club section is an upgraded section on the Tulum side of the resort. Here is info on the Hacienda Club. You can poke around that whole web site, lots of info there as it's the offical site for the hotel. And it's pronounced Bah-hee-ah.

I have, I stayed on the Akumal side, in a Golden Club jr. suite. I can't recall much about the a la carte dinners except, I know we had a fabulous dinner at Arlequin. That's the gourmet restaurant for Akumal guests and at the time I was there, and I believe it's still the case, guests from other sections can't use that one particular restaurant. On the Tulum side, the gourmet restaurant is Don Pablo and those at the Akumal couldn't eat there. Things may have changed, you'll have to see when you get there but in general, the gourmet restaurants are a not miss.
