Hi Stephen, You may have been helped by the many great posts here to your original question- sorry I didn't see your question sooner-
We purchased a home in Playa del Carmen in the Campestre El Tigrillo in August. We bought from the owner with no realtors involved- this is not something we would have felt comfortable doing without an attorney that we could completely trust. We found one and although there have been some obstacles throughout the process, we have no hesitation in recommending her to you. She is an American from Denver and she has lived here in Mexico for 12 years. She has a competent team of experts around her and the notary that she uses is located in Cancun. If you would like her name and contact information (she has a great website) please PM me.
