I wanted to thank everyone for their advice and all the info on Playa. we had a great time in Mexico. Playa was beautiful. Our resort Rui Palace Mexico is another story. This was my first all inclusive vacation and I was disappointed. The resort smelled terrible, food was barely average, drink selection was minimal and the entertainement was poor. The place was clean and housekeeping did a great job. The pool area and beach were great. Unfortunately thats all the good I can say about the resort. We booked a night at Coco Bongo, it was definitely worth money to get VIP and table service. We also went to Xplore the zip lining was fantastic. The food was better than our resort. The other activities I could have done with out. I will definitely go back to Playa but not to that resort. All your tips and suggestions were very helpful

We stayed at Rui Palace Mexico. They offered to switch us to Riveria Maya or to a Rui in cancun. We didnt want the hassle of it but at the end of our trip we wished we had. We spent a day at Riveria Maya and it was so much nicer. i hope y our stay is better than mine was
