Unhappy Strange beginnings

Off to a strange start. One of our house mates missed the 5:15 am flight from Seattle. Well 5:15 you say that's early for anyone to miss, except he was sitting with us in the terminal!! I was talking to him!!! You see my friend is one of those people who likes to be the last on the plane.not nesisarily the first one to miss it...we feel bad ,but we've had a couple of good chuckles.

Meanwhile I got up a little late ,for me anyways, and found my other housemates in a heated discussion about PINK SLIME!! really? On my first morning of vacation? But then I realize the book I brought is "Going Bovine"
It's a story of a boy who gets mad cow disease.? This is strange.
Oh and I've stubbed my toes twice already. Got to remember how to walk in bare feet again.

I'll back.

Day one at Casa Maeva

Have a beer for your missing friend.
Tell the others to eat pork.
Wear sandals.

ENJOY your vacation!

Looking forward to reading more.
How in the heck did your housemate miss their flight? I bet not too happy about that! We are catching the red eye flight out of Seattle on April 29th. We like to avoid those middle of the night trips to SeaTac. Always worry about getting stuck trying to cross the Tacoma Narrows Bridge like yesterday when it was closed down for a mobile home being tipped over from the wind and blocking lanes.
Hey we are almost neighbors. We are from Silverdale.

Have a great trip!

The missing one arrives !

Our bud who missed his flight arrived. We all stood up and applauded...it took him 37 hours to get from Seattle to Cancun! He insists on blaming the boarding attendant for not issuing a last call to board!! We laughed, telling him he has to take SOME responsibility for missing a flight he was sitting 35 feet from anyhow the beer and tequila flowed.. We went out to eat at Las Brisas 10th ave and 4th street. The two of us who had shrimp cevice' were very happy, two others who had fish plates, one soup and on plate , felt the fish was bland... Next night we went off to Taqueria Gomez..2nd and 15th? 10 peso tacos...we all felt the pork was better than the beef . Would recommend for a cheap eat...

I'll be back later,
Rick

Day three

Got up early..well not that early..I guess we had Mexican daylight savings time last night..the sun was going to come up later...coffee and sunrise, and it was good. Took an early morning walk into town and down 5th ave looking for more coffee ,found it and it was good. Got home around 10am and realized I had too much coffee..had a beer and it was good. As was the second beer
After a bit me and my late arriving compadre decided to walk into town and find a cheap lunch...found the cheap lunch, but they don't serve beer Not good... Our waitress says if we walk one block south to her cousins store we can buy beer and bring it back...we did and it was good... We realized we were one block from H&C Butcher shop...we bought a kilo and a half of arrechara and brought it home...we will cook it on the grill tonight...AND IT WILL BE GOOD!!!

Talk to you tomorrow!!!
Rick
