Its nice people that know the legalities of the whole marriage thing have given you that knowledge. Especially since I have no idea. But for a nice, low key wedding(whether you are already legally married in the USA or not), a sweet little wedding with JUST the two of you would be perfect at the Playa Maya. I saws that happen a month ago and it was so sweet. Good luck and congrats!

Thanks everyone for the information. Will probably do as suggested and legalize it here and go from there. I loved the Fat Cat Wedding- how fun!, If we did something like that you would all have to come because we wont have any guests to fill the boat
