Reading Resort Reviews...Yay or Nay?

I used to look on trip advisor and some of the reviews were very negative to the point where I thought what the hell am I thinking of!.......
but it is only the real nit pickers that do these reviews mostly....
I do apologise to those who have had a genuine reason to complain of course!........as for us we have never been disappointed and would
dearly love to go back to the tucan/quetzal. but happy holidays to those going this year!!

The advice above is exactly what I do. I find it easy to pick out those that are never happy and those that have genuine concerns. TA has steered me right many times.

I really do enjoy TA and think they are a helpful sight. I tend to drop the 1 star if they complain about something that the hotel has no control of like the transportation, customs, the sharks at CUN, the bugs, the birds eating their bread, etc. It is comical to read what some people find to complain about & I would hate to be their spouse. Take it for what its worth and trust Shammy, she won't steer you wrong.

I love using trip advisor and can usually tell who wouldn't be happy if they were given the trip and provided with top notch everything while they were there, and then just your average "Jo" and "Jane" like us, lol.. I require, clean, safe and a roof over our heads and prefer a softer bed if possible.. everything else is a no brainer for us!! We are there to relax and enjoy and that is what we will do!! Of course don't get me wrong, lol.. if we could afford a 5 star resort every time we went, we probably would, but we can't, so we go to what we can afford and always have a fantastic time no matter!!! lol.. 61 days!! Can't wait!!!
