When we stayed in the Dominican we had to put our room key in a switch once we entered the room to activate the A/C and when you left with the key, off goes the A/C. If you left your 2nd key in the switch when you left the maids would take it and return it to front desk, when you went to retrieve it they would warn you not to leave it in the switch.

We also did the key thing in Dom Rep...but not needed here...the room was always the right temp for us when we came back...as for the fridge ...well maybe it could have been cooler but it kept the water nice and cold and the beers etc so it was ok with us.....we are looking forward to our next visit later this year
oh by the way look out for the towel art! they make all kinds of things with the towels they are very clever! every day there was a different animal on the bed
