Mexico 1st timer. Books? Beer? Beaches?

My teenager wanted to go to beach so I picked PDC. A little nervous but if I find a good beach to read a good book and find a good craft beer I should be able to relax.

PDC is a wonderful choice! Relax, don't be nervous!!!! Read trip reports on the forum, and you'll get lots of ideas for things to do! You'll love PDC! Oh, and welcome to the forum!

You're going to have a great time! A favorite day for me, sitting on the beach anywhere around Bad Boyz or further north say @Pirate with the latest Stephanie Plum book and a cold Negra Modelo or Bohemia.

Don't be nervous...or shy. Playa is very safe, comfortable and welcoming. When are you going to be there?

I don't think you'll find a craft beer on the beach, but Club De La Cerveza on 5th, just south of 38th, has 70 beers on their menu.

Thanks for words of encouragements. This forum with the trip reports has been a great resource. I've probably over done it on the research. My daughter and wife say I tend obsess about things. Since my daughter and I are leaving tomorrow the main question is carry-ons, checked or both for 6 nights?

Yeah Babaloo I'm definitely got that on my mapped hit list. I'm a serious homebrewer so a stop like that I'll call research! My daughter will just have to understand it is for a good cause.

A teenage girl with a just a carry on for 6 days???? You must be joking! She couldn't get all her shoes into something that small!!

Good point on the luggage size and I do want to encourage more cloth. As I said to my daughter when she showed me her bathing suit "it'll be just fine under a turtleneck". Of course I got the "oh Dad" response.

I've tried 2 nights in a row to find Club de la Cervesas. What's it near? Is it right on 5th? I went as far north as the Pluto Dive shop but that's past 38th.

I think it may be in a courtyard not facing the street. "Edificio Mimosa" may be a clue I the address. I'll look for the Seasons restaurant thanks.

It's facing the street.
Not in a courtyard.
