The last time I stayed at a hotel outside of town there was never a problem with getting a taxi. We just let the front desk know or the guys outside and they would call us when one arrived. We always waited in the lobby instead of in the room however. Getting back to the hotel isn't a problem as, once you are in town, there are taxi ranks all along 5th avenue.

ps. I recommend going to Xcaret for one day with the family it is a memorable experience. Go early and save some energy for the show at the end. Be sure to book with transport included, it makes things easier.

Don`t Go!!!!!! You`ll just fall in love with Playa.......then you`ll spend all day, every day ,daydreaming about when you`ll get to return. It is a sickness that will not go away!!! Its addictive!!!! It can totally consume you!! GOODLUCK!!
