Heading back to Gran Sunset/Riviera Princess... but need a reminder and some guidance

So I am officially in countdown mode, heading into our last month before arrival with family. Despite my addiction to reviewing all of the reviews and postings, I could use your help on a few items:
  • I am emailing the conciere in advance to request rooms, higher floors, pool view and closer to our other guests rooms - how frequent to them come through?
  • what is your top 3 a la carte restaurants?
  • The beach Chill Out Club, I understand its $11/day per person, but can young children go and what is there cost?
  • What is the cost of the Chill Out restaurant? Can you just go there for drinks?
  • The night activities in courtyard, is there a schedule as some of them were really good - like to plan to see some
  • We have our transfer to the hotel with Sunquest, just wondering how many hotels generally do they stop at?

They you all in advance ... just love this forum!

My top 3 A-La-Cartes were Le Fleur-Great steaks
Miso-Teppanyaki and sit down both excellant
Mama Mia Great Veal
The cost is $11 per person did not see any children there but there was
a couple of teenagers on a couple of the days.
Chill out you could probabaly go for a drink but they would charge you, no idea of drink costs. The meals varied in price the ones I remember were for 2 people and ranged in price from 1500.00 to 2000.00 pesos. Was gonna go but time ran out.
Yes the courtyard could be fun a night when we were there and the bands were playing some guests provided some interesting entertainment. (what happens in Mexico stays in Mexico). We where there 2 weeks and the entertainment schedule was the same for both weeks.
We where with Sunwing for the last couple of years and after about a 3 hr trip last year decided on a taxi $60 bucks but was at hotel 2 hrs before bus well worth it.

Fantastic Shakey, much appreciated. I'll give the conciere an email and cross my fingers. I do recall a couple of the a la cartes, but I do recall the Mismo for the entertainment alone. The seafood one was good as well, if I recall. Its just brutal that you have to make reservations in the afternoon and normally have to wait 30 minutes. I guess its all about timing.

I like your idea about the taxi. I double checked the ticket and I notice its with Sunwing as well. I can't imagine having to wait 3 hours, particularly with two young boys to manage. The last time we were there, we were with Air Canada and there was only two other couple with us, so the ride seemed reasonable.
