sf airport to fisherman's wharf is about a 30 minute drive depending on traffic. a cab ride wouldn't be too bad but the BART would be cheaper, around $15 per person. You can check fare here:

bart is only a 30 minute ride.

If you go to the wharf walk over to pier 39. It has quite a few more attractions and eateries. Depending on the time of day or year, you'll see lots of sea lions too.

Any chance you are going to be in Corvallis this August? We have room for a couple more on the the party bus. I'll be the only Duck fan so you won't be out numbered. The damn Beavers are ruining the Ducks chance at a Pac 12 title this weekend in baseball. Damn Beavers.

The BART sounds like a good option. Is pier 39 farther down the road from the park? Where all the crab venders/food carts, and the fishing and sight seeing boats dock?

We have family in Oregon City and Klamath Falls. We get to K Falls more often that O.C. but we just might be up there. If we are you are on my list to contact. Tough circumstances last trip but...

Pier 39 is about a 10 minute walk from the wharf. Depends on how many street performers you stop and watch. The "bush" guy wasn't out a couple of weeks ago when we were there and he is almost always out. He's the guy who hides behind the bush and jumps out and scares people. pretty entertaining.

to honest, they are all good.
here is what pier 39 has to offer. they also have an aquarium there. not as nice as the monterrey aquarium but it's not bad.
