Ranger and Cheryl travel to Oregon

We saw some posting of a "Peep gathering" in Oregon some month's ago and decided to try and get there.

We have never been to the Pacific North West (PNW) and saw a great chance.

So some of those west coast Peep's are having a wine festival in Eugene, Oregon and we are going................................

This will be fun............................................... ...

Remember...Uno is a Duck. I am a Beaver. There is a fierce rivalry there. I grew up in Southeast Oregon where my high school mascot was a Honker.
So...I went from being a Honker to being a Beaver.
But Honkers and Beavers don't like Ducks.
Uno is a pretty good guy tho. That's one Duck I'd have to make an exception for.
What is really difficult is when there are Ducks and Beavers in the same family. And...if those Ducks and Beavers used to be Honkers, it's even more entertaining.

We are looking forward to spending time with these folks.

A neighbor boy asked me if I was a duck or a beaver. I told him I was neither.

He looked at me and said "Oh, you must be a platypus."

I am a Duck fan, not alum. I think alumni loyalty runs deeper.

Even if the Ducks OWN the Beavs.

Here is the question I throw at my duck friends:
how many national championships have the ducks won?
none
How many have the Beavers won?
back to back in baseball. woohoo

now the ducks do own the beavers in how many of their football players have been to jail or are on parole.

Because cow tipping and sheep datting is not illegal in Corvallis.

Badabing.

It's okay. It's a long and fierce, but freindly rivaly. Now the Washington Huskies... That's different.

Ranger, we don't have pro sports in Oregon so you wll see MUCH college stuff. Everybody wears green and yellow or blank and orange.

So this map / loop is planned for 8/1/2012, heading toward the coast early (6:00 AM) and eating breakfast ?????

Now I found this little "roadtrip" for food and it fit's perfectly....
