Cruising for us has been a great way to learn about places we wanted to spend "land" vacations at. After our first trip to Puerto Rico 10 years ago, we have been back for land vacations 3 times! We also first cruised to Cozumel, which included a day trip to PDC about 15 years ago, and that is how we found Playa. The land trips since then....oh so many . Also on my short list of land trips - - St. Maarten, Grand Cayman, St. Thomas. All based on cruising. Cruising is cool ![]() The boys have been on 3 cruises each, they do like cruising! |

We used to cruise with a group of friends every year but once that group went to Mexico for a land vaca, we never looked at crushing again. We loved our cruises but neither David or I want to cruise again. Well, that's not exactly true, we are looking into an Alaska cruise for our 35 anniversary. I just can't seem to wrap my head around wearing sweaters, long pants and coats on a cruise, it just doesn't seem "right". Lol!

Wow! That's beautiful BUT, I so hate cold weather that now I think it would be torture! My friends laugh at me, I've always joked that when the temp is below my age, it's too cold for me to ride my horses. Sadly, that's become truer every year! Now, below 50 and I've got gloves, hat, turtleneck, 3 layers over the turtleneck and a heavy coat on...and am cold!
Thanks for sharing, I really do want to go in 3 years! |

Don't get scared off by the photo of Pam in the jacket. It was the only time she wore it, and that's just because we were parked next to a glacier. Normally we wore layers of light clothing so we could shed them easily.
