What is your favorite meal on or around 5th?

Whats one meal you just love to get on or around 5th and what bar/restaurant do you go for it?

I like trying new things and pretty much enjoy all kinds of different foods.

At the moment, my favorite is the fish tacos at Playa Maya.

Please include the location when telling your favorite meal/place!

We rarely ate on or around 5th on our last trip, but I would have to say Carboncitos and La Tarraya.

We like La Vagabunda for breakfast. They are open for lunch and dinner now too, but we have only had breakfast there. Suggest the Huevos Yucatecos - and check the bottom of your bill when it comes, I think you will find the tip (propina) already added in - there will be a line for it.

Rarely eat on 5th but the one exception is Casa Mediterranea, a great little place tucked away that serves fantastic pasta dishes.
Close to 5th, always Carboncitos, at least 3 times.
Off 5th would be Don Sirloion, El Fogon's and Util Pasta.

You should try Drupas 38 it's amazing. It's in little Italy the north end of playa the food is amazing. To be honest we didn't have a bad meal in playa and the food is way better than the huge resorts. There are so any that we loved but Drupas stood out off 5th Los Augachillis or El Fogon amazing. We are back in June and can't wait

x2. I love that dish and have to have it at least twice a week when we are in Playa (yes, I am a creature of habit).

Cheestors, an Italian place, Ave 40 and Calle 4. Opens at 2:00, closed on Tuesday. Meals arount 100 pesos and enough for two and fantastic!

Aquachilis, corner of Calle 34 and Ave 25. Fresh steamed fish tacos. Closes at 6 so make it early!

El Fogon, Ave 30 across from Walmart. True Mexician, very reasonable.

Mannes, Calle 4 between Ave 10 and Ave 15. Super German food. Love the red cabbage and sausage. Best mixed drink pour in town.

LaTarraya, bottom of Calle 2 on the beach. Fresh fish, love their garlic fish dinner at 50 pesos, fish sandwich for 25 pesos. Cold beer, strong margaritas.

For home cooked like mom makes head to Mom's Hotel, corner of Ave 30 and Calle 4. Opens at 4, closed on weekends.
