A few questions
Hi,
We are going to Playa in a week and have some questions. By the way, this site was very helpful for planning our vacation. In fact, we will be taking playa.info shuttle service from Cancun and staying in Palmer Del Sol condominium! -Does Cancun airport has the full body scanners? My wife is pregnant and we are bit worried about the language barrier etc.. -What is the average cost of manicure/pedicure? She wants to get it done here in U.S. if the price there is really expensive. |

Hey,
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Cancun airport has the same 'grey doorway' metal detectors as every other airport. As for the manicure/pedicures, it depends where you get it done, if you get it done in one of the resorts or an 'up market' place near 5th Av. it will be expensive, around $40 (USD) but if you go to a smaller beauty salon further away from 5th Av. you can get manicures for around $15. |

No, Cancun does not have the new body scanners that are in most US airports, she will be fine.
I get my mani/pedi done here before I leave, I don't want to waste time on vacation for that. I would suggest you treat her to a massage though! Have a wonderful time and welcome to the board. |

Thanks!!
It is good to know there is no full body scanners! Thanks for your inputs about the nail service. It makes sense but the price doesn't sound too bad for at least $15 option. Also, do you know any good place to buy quality leather goods like purse, bags etc? How is Rogers Boots? |
