Another internet question

Hello, I am a professor at a University in Ohio. I am lucky enough to get the summers off and I own a little place on across the highway from Azul Five (playazul) There are no internet providers in this area. I currently use telcell. I am now able to reach a wireless signal named "Playa" I only get 2 bars but was wondering if anyone knows anything about this company or if there are plans for Telmex or Cablemas to get out here soon. The complex has Telmex phone boxes, however the company and residents advised internet is not available yet in this area. Thanks for any info.

If you can get mobile reception have you thought about a 3G USB "stick". I have used a Telcel one and it works but not as reliable as my Iusacell. I use it for all my work and it is not a bad way to go.

I currently have that. The speed fluctuates a lot. Early this morning I was connecting at 1.99 mb which was great, however in the afternoon when everyone is using I was only able to connect at .2. I can live with the USB, however the bandwidth is limited. I'm sure dsl is coming soon. This is a great location with a lot off building going on, thanks for the help.

What about contacting Playa Wireless? I lived in the boonies in Tulum, totally off the grid, and they came and installed relatively reliable wireless internet.
