We're aiming for May 1 - 11th. The first, big Peep Meet is usually held on Saturday night (May 4th?).
There are quite a few trip reports from the May peep weeks around.

That is a cheap ticket for me; I'd jump at the chance to purchase it. Right now, it costs around $850 for Boise-Cancun.

Not for us. This year we paid $490 for May on a nonstop flight. These prices just keep going higher and higher.

I know! I have been keeping an eye on fares because I want to go to Playa during Thanksgiving. Prices are ridiculous!

Well crossing fingers you get a decent fare for Thanksgiving week. Michael and I will be there. Staying at Hacienda Paradise. Got a package, air and hotel, I think for $835 per person, although a little higher than I wanted to spend, we decided to go for it. Glad I did, otherwise I don't think we would be going in November.

Now that is an idea... I always used to drive to Tijuana when I would visit my family in Durango. The airfare was much cheaper than flying out of LAX to Durango. Going to have to look into that again for Cancun.
