Fisherman's Village condo or any other
Looking at maybe a condo for next March. I was at first looking at a beach hotel, Playa Maya. Then started thinking about condos. Has anyone ever stayed at Fisherman's Village in Playacar? What about the Royal Oasis above PG's? Anyone have any recommendations on a relatively inexpensive condo for a week for just two people? Preferably near the beach.

I think they're pretty equal as far as beach views go. We just have a studio at Fisherman's, which is waterfront. Can't get any closer to the beach.
We stayed in # 7004, as I recall, at Xaman Ha, which is a 3 bedroom on the first floor. Both places are very nice, but I will say that the "kitchenettes" in the studios are a joke at Fisherman's. I'm sure the larger units have better/full kitchens, though. There was a nice, full kitchen plus washer and dryer at Xaman Ha. It's about a two minute walk to the south end of 5th from Xaman Ha. It's a 10-15 minute walk from Fisherman's, depending how fast you walk (or stroll). You pass by lots of nice villas and some nice small ruins, too. I have several FV pics in my trip reports linked below, and a bunch of Xaman Ha pics in the Playa del Karma TR. Last edited by caramba; 05-23-2012 at 10:42 PM.. |

We've stayed at both Xaman Ha & Royal Oasis.. Both are really nice!! Xaman Ha is on the beach and RO is more upscale (in my opinion). You won't go wrong picking either!!!
On another note...... Check out Royal Palms, especially #5! It's practically next door to RO. Looking forward to my stay there coming up. |
