Sweeping the MRS off to the Oregon Coast to celebrate 38 years together! Surprised her with motel reservations for Friday, Saturday and Sunday at a favorite older funky place we like to stay at in Lincoln City and promises of long walks on the beach holding her hand. Can't imagine my life without her.

Waiting on my brother who should be arriving at the lake any minute. Apparently, we are going night fishing this evening.

We will be traveling thru Lincoln City in August, please post any must / should see's, congradulation's and have great time!!

Night fishing is awesome. Cool, quiet, peaceful. Normally lakes get very calm at night. The water is like glass with the moon reflecting off the surface. Bull frogs and crickets come to life. It's a whole different world than the normal hussle and bussle of other people by day.

I imagine you will walk away from it with a poem or short story.

Sounds like everyone thus far has great weekend plans.

I don't have anything going as yet. Maybe just get out of the house with Colleen and go shopping or something will be good enough for me.

You think if you and I got together we would have a clue what to do...or would we just be frozen, immobile on the couch, helpless without our leaders there to inform us of our plans?

Actually, frozen and immobile on the couch sounds great, rest and reading. (come to think of it, maybe thats why I don't get to make the weekend plans anymore).

The grass is always greener. I think anytime you (must) do something, like work or stay home, it's not much fun.

Should be quiet here... Steve is going on a men's retreat with some of the men from church. So I will probably be drinkin' and postin' here!!

Rut roh...might be a good weekend on PI, in that case!

My only firm plans are to go for a mani pedi and to lunch with a good girlfriend on sunday, finish the yard work we need to do and clean the house, go out to dinner saturday with my hubby.

Who amazingly is not going fishing the next two weekends, very strange for him this time of year, but I think he is going three in a row after that.

but I am sure he will be going on a motorcycle ride...or three.
