We stayed in Room 208 which was right above the reception office so it's closer to Coco Maya and the other clubs. I think it's because I am sensitive to noise so anything such as a "thump" would wake me up and it was definitely thumping all night long. We switched rooms the next day and gotten a smaller room which was a studio with a kitchenette. That was room 208 and much closer to the beach/ocean view. After that I slept like a log! ![]() They were out of the pulpo that day. Would have loved to try that out. The fish & salmon were by far the best! One would think if fish were grilled it would be dried but no, this was very fresh & moist! I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen! |

Thanks for the great pics!!! And regarding getting the pat down...happens to me too (I'm 5 ft, 100 pounds, and look far from dangerous) but know they have a job to do. I tease them every time, asking if I can pick who does the pat down
Thanks for your service to our country - Your sacrifice is appreciated beyond what words can express. You are the hero my kids look up to!

First of all, Thank you very much for your service to our country. So, I'm a little confused on the room numbers. ![]() And no worries, I never remember what room number I had, especially if I had to change rooms, I would never remember. ![]() So was this your first time in Playa? How did you find out about Playa? What did you think of Playa? I've been trying to get our friends to travel with us, and cannot get them to come down with us and experience Playa.

![]() This was definitely my first time in any part of Mexico. Being in the Army didn't really help with traveling to "tropical" places. I found out about Playa from my wife. She saw on a top 10 list on tripadvisor and liked the "traditional" feel of the place. I would definitely recommend friends to head down with us on our next trip! |

Great report and pictures! Can't wait to try to BROchetas place - looks fabulous! It's always especially nice to hear from someone new who experiences Playa for the first time- really fun to see it all again from your eyes.
And thank you for your service. Seems too little to say - but I hope you hear it alot. |
