opinion needed (asap) from locals and frequent visitors, please

Hi.
I am looking for a low-key, comfortable, inexpensive place to stay for a few nights until I am able to get into my condo. Ideally, this place is located between Constituyentes and 48Nte / First or Fifth Ave.

Input greatly appeciated!

Moms, Posada Freud, La Rana Cansada, Luna Blue all brilliant places where you will meet some fun people!

hi, there are several great deals on at the moment with the local hotels. i have seen prices on 5th for sub 400MXN per night. across the road from us here on constituyentes and 15th is carmen hotel and they have rooms currently for 450MXN per night. you will probably find several great deals by spending a few hours walking around. if you wanted to you could leave your luggage with us here at the shop while you take a walk around.

edit> as long as you don't have a bus load of it!

Luna Blue is in the location you want. It's a cool, funky little place with a really nice pool and a cool bar. It would be a fun place to stay until you're settled into your condo.

Awesome-O!

Thanks everyone.
I will take them into consideration. But while I love the nightlife, I like to boog ehhhhhhhhhhhh... (yeahyeah you know the rest)...I LOVE my sleep.

While I will spend my days and evenings being social and on the go, I want a quiet place with a comfortable bed to rest mi cabeza. I know that rules out a few places above, but I really do appreciate the input.

That said, I guess I should modify my request, adding I want a quiet place with a comfortable bed. Heh.

Input on my intro/initial post is apprecaited as well.

We stayed at Luna Blue in April. Very peaceful and restful nights. I heard of people complaining about the bed being too hard, but it was fine. Love the place. Definitely on the to go to place without the kids.
