Tired. Need to change bed time from midnight to 10PM. Just finished loading the trailer for a bocce scrimmage tomorrow.

Saturday - Bocce scrimmage. Have to start setup at 7AM, be done with setup by 8:30, then start putting teams and divisions together, hopefully playing by 9:30AM, done by noon, load the trailer, grab a few things to eat at the picnic they are having, head home, unload the trailer, return the trailer to U-Haul, come home, finish cleaning up at the house, start framing for cabinet doors in trailer to hide all the electronics for the solar gear I installed last week, Bonny's dad, friends and family over at 6PM for a birthday party which should last until about 11PM.

Sunday - rest.

I was put on Relefan, after the Umbrella Day trip, to help with the arthritis and the since diagnosed herniated disk C6-C7. It helped with the neck, but did unbelievable help with my hands. Ran out 1 week ago. My neck is in more pain, my hands a lot of pain. Many side affects, one of which is ulcers (not a problem so far), another high blood pressure (hmmmm). So I have not asked for more. Wait for the blood pressure to stabilize then I'll see if they will put me back on it for the arthritis in neck and hands, and see what happens to the blood pressure.

You are busy, and in pain.

Daily laying on of the hands might help

G'morning peeps
I like the party threads, even if I don't post on them. I hope they don't disappear...
Finals next week, funeral this morning, birthday party in the evening, and I still need to write the final and study guide...and make the food for dinner tonight. Yipes

2 months ago I would have never suggested surgery. Now I would say it's worth looking into. Started PT Thursday. FREAKIN OOOCH! But Friday I could already see improvement. I'll be slinging bocceballs and curling beers with the best of them by August.

I wake up every single day more happy I got it fixed. Like you, I have multiple neck issues, but just fixing the main one was worth it. That pinched nerve pain is the worst of all. I can live with the rest.

Thanks! We just have to get W healthy so he has no excusses if we win at bocce. We took a neighborhood walk hitting garage sales this morning. It turned into a 4 hour walk. We are both tired. But we bought some stuff that we didn't need and may not use for cheap so it was worth it.

Sorry to read that some of you are still in pain. Hope it will all get better.

Had a busy saturday as after two weeks mainly spent in Paris there was stuff that I had to see to. Went to see my dive friends as they have renovated the shop and I promised to go and admire their work. Tomorrow second try at doing my taxes. Hope I will be more successful but what I saw this morning in the book that I bought made me optimistic.

And, Roni, I am looking at old pics too. When I go to Sardinia in 2 weeks a friend of mine will celebrate his 50th birthday. My parents decided that they want to make a book with all our pics for him which meant lots of work for ME since I am the photographer in the family. So I have been scanning pics from our vacations whenever I had time over the past weeks and now I have to work on them to give them to my parents tomorrow evening. We have known him and his family since 1980 so there are LOTS of pics that I need to work on. It is fun though to remember the good times we have had all together.

Ok lesson learned, never put gauze over open wound. Cut a dime size piece off my index finger pad last night and put gauze over it. Now have a pice of gauze that is stuck to my finger. Tried soaking it but no luck. Googled problem and am trying some other stuff. Was just going to pull it off but after reading all say do not do that. Not sure I could anyway as it hurts like hell.Put lots of ointment on it in hope to soften it up. Online suggestions were peroxide (not a good idea) and one person said olive oil. Best suggetstion I have had is "Don't cut your finger!

Anyone ever been to Willamina, Oregon? Stayed there last week, lovely town. Like stepping back into the 50's. Stayed at the Wildwood Hotel, look it up and stay there sometime.

My wife's family has lived there for generations. We go there often. It is a little lost in time. Old logging/farming town. We used to drive though the mill and up the mountain to get to her great grandma's house. The kinda place you expect to see Opie Taylor walking down the street.
