Barcelo and Xcaret

Can people help me with how to do Xcaret? I will be staying at the Barcelo and want to go to Xcaret and do a Dolphin experience with a 5year old. What is the best way to do this? What the best way to book this at a good price? Any help, suggestions?

You can book it online and take a cab, or book a tour right at the resort. A package will include tranportation both ways, park entry, a lunch option and dolphin swim. It's not cheap. About the same as a day at Disneyland PLUS $100 for the dolphin swim.

It's a good day. Play all day, take a lunch break (a nice buffet style like you will get at the resort) then rest in one of the many hammocks. Then go to the night show. I would wait and book there so you can make sure the weather cooperates. Not a fun day if it's chilly and rainy.

It's pretty close to the Barcelo so a cab and park tickets (skip the meal option and buy food at the snack bars) would be the cheaper option. It's nice to have your transpo and everything in the tour package prearranged though.

Either way, it's a great place to visit. You will have a great time.

It's always better to book Xcaret, Xplor, Xel-ha and luxury Chichen Itza in advance online. You'll save pretty good money, it's more expensive when you buy it directly at the resort or at the entrance of the park. The best site to book Xcaret is : www.cancuntours-xcaret.com
