What??? No party thead? Oh yes there is one!
Ya all are getting lazy. How can there be a weekend with no party thread?
Early to bed and early to rise for me as I take a red eye out to Seattle and then to LA. Leave here at 6:00am. All work and probably some play.Longest I have been gone from the Mrs in years. Used to be she left for a week at a time. Now she has to do the chores and put up with the cats. |

I read right over it.
I read: Party Th.... and I was on board. ![]() I like work road trips. I say that when I don't have one planned for the near future. I always research the city and figure out where I want to eat and what I want to see. That pumps me up to being away from home. Then I get where I'm going, go to work, eat a hotel restaurant burger, and passout in my room.

Just returned from an outdoor free concert...The Summer Arts Festival. Phil Dirt and the Dozers opened. An awesome event that somes to our area every year, going on 40 years now. 6 weeks of concerts and plays, 3 or 4 a week, ran totally on sponsers and donations. I give $5.00 or more every time I attend. They also have food matching to the entertainment. Wine tasting and ribs for zazz night, Irish food for Celtric night, grilled hamburgers on 50's night. Fun Time!
So the rest the weekend consists of giving my herb garden some attention, smoking some ribs, my normal Saturday Y workout. |

Hi there...
going to spend my weekend to finally to my taxes. Did some research and found out how the new form needs to be filled out. One of my colleagues talked to a specialist yesterday and confirmed that it is correct how I said it was probably correct.AND going to prepare my vacation. After nearly two weeks of fighting with herself my sister yesterday booked flights for herself and my niece so we are going together. I knew that my sister wanted to go back to Sardinia but she is afraid that my niece will: drown, fall down the stairs, disappear... (you can probably continue that list yourself ). But my parents, my sister and myself should be enough persons to watch a 19 months old... ![]() Yesterday something else happened too: we had a project videoconference and I was totally surprised that the project manager in Paris mentioned me several times (in a good way). I know that I did good work in the past months and found out a lot of things that are going wrong. Good to know that the project management seems to have realized that too. Especially since initially I had to fight about 6 months till my name finally officially appeared in the organizational chart for something that I have been doing for 10 months now (nothing personal against me that was politics). Feels good to see that people appreciate your work and forget about politics for once.Wish you all a great weekend!

Second day in LA, pretty crazy place. At a rooftop party last night I saw 20 Johnny Depps and 34 Paris Hiltons. Stood in line for 1 1/2 hours to register at the civic center, 6,000 people attending. Partied with the younger reps last night. This week may take a toll on my liver.Could only make it until 10:00pm as I was up since 3:30am yesterday. Good nights sleep and Ihop food and ready for today. Gonna be a crazy week.

Just got back from a 4 day camping trip in the Sequoias. Truck acted up, again. Happened 2 years ago 4 miles from the campsite. This time happened right in front of the camp site when I was trying to back in. It just doesn't want to go, barely idle. Coughs, spits, hit the accelerator, nothing. Then all of a sudden it was fine. Gas tank is full, I always fill up 40 miles before the campsite. What was in common from 2 years ago? 95 degrees, pulling 6,000 lbs up an 8% grade for 17 miles at between 10 and 15mph because the road is so curvy and bumpy. Something is getting really hot and misbehaving. No engine codes. It feels like vapor lock. I'm almost thinking it's the fuel pump.
Nonetheless. We met a young man up there, who we first met 1 year ago. He is a fishing freak. Mid 20's. Graduate of Cal Poly SLO. He took us to a very out of the way place and we caught some very large rainbow, as well as some very small golden and golden hybrids. About killed me hiking out of there. Yesterday, for some reason, we decided to top that. Hiked upstream out of the campground to go German Brown hunting. Yes, hunting. Try to catch and kill those immigrants to try and save the Golden Trout. I caught a 10" brown, killed it. Bonny caught a couple of 14" goldens and let them go. I caught a 12" Golden and damn, killed it. I caught a 14" golden and again damn, killed it. We stopped and hiked back to camp. I am sure I lost 10 lbs this weekend. We had a great time. |
