Hello from British Columbia!

Hi All,

My name is Rhonda and I am a Playa addict!

My husband and I were last in Playa in May with our granddaughter. We stayed at the Royal Haciendas and all I can think of since we have gotten home is when we can go again. This was our third trip in the last three years. We have been going approximately once a year with the loose plan to retire to Playa in the future. We love it that much.

We are not able to return again until November/December of 2013 and are considering staying at an AI then as we have never tried one. We do not drink and have always thought that the cost of alcohol was a big part of the cost of the AI and if you do not drink it is kind of silly to pay that. I really would like to try an AI though so I can have the total relaxing vacation experience!

I love Playa and really like reading about everyone's experience's. I am sure I am going to enjoy my time on Playainfo!

Welcome to the forum, Playa has a way of doing that to people but all in all not a bad addiction to have

Hi Rhonda and welcome! no doubt you will find lots of usefull info here as we all have. Playa info is catchy it's almost like being in playa... minus the beach

If I read you correctly I think you want to try a non AI.. ?!? I've been to playa 6 times and only stayed at an AI the first time.. There are so many lovely place to stay in playa and so many restaurent to eat at.. I've never regretted staying in small hotels. My last trip I rented a condo on the north end. Apart from the noise (new building construction at the back) I loved the experience and plan on renting a condo again on my next trip..

There are many expats that have made Playa their homes and love it as you will find out... Enjoy playa info..till you get there again.

We actually have stayed at non-AI resorts and hotels and now are thinking of trying an AI for the exprience. I just wish it was sooner than a year and a half away!
