Dress Code - Barcelo Maya Palace

Hey guys! Does anyone know what the dress code will be at the a la cartes at Barcelo Maya Palace? Specifically for my husband and 5 year old son? Will my son have to wear slacks? I just want to be prepared!

Thanks!

best rule of thumb is to check the website for the hotel. When I was there, though, any indoor a la cart restaurant required men to wear shirts with sleeves and long pants. NOt sure for the women as they always seemed to know the right stuff to wear.

What he said and closed toe shoes. Shirt can be short sleeve but not sleeveless. Women can wear whatever go figure (except bathing suits and shorts) open toe sleeveless We should revolt! Viva la revolution

Dress code doesn't apply until age 7, so just a nice pair of shorts and a shirt for the 5 year old in the a la cartes (as in, not a t shirt over a swim suit!).

Agreed; we saw younger kids in shorts and sandals (not flip flops, nicer sandals!) - but all older kids and adults had to wear long pants and closed toe shoes. Kind of a PITA for the guys, but not a really big deal, either. All the a la cartes are A/C so it's not too hot for them.
