I'm experimenting with drinks at the lake today. First: mulled strawberries and basil, splash of lemonade, vodka, club soda. Pretty good. Second: mulled cherries, splash of lemonade, club soda. Very good. Next: my SIL is a lightweight so we're waiting for pops and jimmy before having another.

Day has started out well.

cans and bottles taken to the can and bottle return machines at the grocery store.

Deck cleared off.

Will be kind to the neighbors and wait another 30 minutes till 9:00 to start power washing the deck.

I hate that. I wait for some poor kid to come to the door. "Mister? Got any bottles to donate to our baseball team?" "Tell your daddy to back that truck up into the driveway, son. You just hit the mother load!"

Can some one tell the kiddos in my hood that that 4th of July is over with..enough with the firecrackers !
