I must be in the minority but I have never had a bunion, hang nail, or any other callous related ailments. I weigh 330 and play minor league football in some of the worst footwear imaginable but my feet remain angelic and dare I say fabulous for a 40 year old man. (Smell not factored into the "angelic" part)

Oh you have them. You just don't know it because you've never had a spa pedicure.

You haven't... Right? Need I bring up the garage pedi again?

You would not like Playa del Carmen, IMO.
Thanks for your concerned comments. The end-point of the first part of your comment is pretty straightforward - you can't say "I've never said this to anyone yet..." anymore. It's now a done deal, as they say at Bob's Used Car Emporium (and other fine outlets everywhere).

The second part (even though seems like it's straight out of left field) is more than a little confusing, "time-wise", but still interesting (probably because it's....well, straight out of left field). Nevertheless, I take your point, and appreciate your expressed concern for my welfare (life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, etc.). To re-wind the time-line a bit, though, your concerns seem to have been "overtaken by events", as it turns out, since I've already been here twelve good years now, and deeply suspect that there must be something here that I like (several somethings, actually).

On the other hand (to return to my commentary that prompted your concern), I've learned through experience not to brush my teeth with the tap water, and to avoid the Five Alarm Triple XXX Habaņero Salsa, and whatever else I tossed in up there as bait to counter the "live hard, die hard" bunch (which seems to be working allright, if I do say so myself)) - on the other other hand, if they want to brush their pearly whites with tap water, guzzle down the fire-eater's friend to their hearts' content, and drink the lemming-ade, etc - why, go right ahead on, be my guest - nobody's stopping them - and we're always in need of another good point man.

So, thanks again, I take your point and appreciate your concern, but I don't like Playa any less for the dumb things (otherwise presumably intelligent) people say in these sometimes profound, sometimes nutty posts - no worries, it's all in the game (unless they want to hold me down and force-feed me the Five Star whatchmacallit salsa and make me brush my teeth with tap water). Thanks for the heads-up.

Well, he only can't say the WHOLE sentence. The first half he can use with countless subjects.

Hey beam-eye, I have a seven day vacation coming up, that should be enough for a cold (sanitized and properly chilled) beer and a 30 min conversation...you interested?

Thanks for the follow-up on Bob's! I hear you (and feel your pain, or whatever, etc.)

I haven't been to Bob's for a while now, but I thought they looked a little flakey at the time, too (the cars also looked pretty flakey - lots of old Tauruses with those splotchy "dead skin" paint jobs).

("Tauruses" sounds like one of those large marine mammals, maybe in the deep end of the pool? Uh-oh! Watch your feet! Watch your feet!).

So, where is a good pedi place for the wifey? She does her own all the time, damn fine job, but I want to treat her.

Well, I like to go to Holospa. It's not super fancy, though. It's on 26th, just off of 30th. They also do a GREAT facial, if you REALLY want to treat her.
